Leading members of Orchid staff celebrate
Praised for its clear communication and strong team spirit, 84% of staff members said they had fun working together. Placed fifth overall for wellbeing, staff reported a real sense of family among colleagues.
With a youthful staff base (average age is 29), there is also a female edge to the company with a male female split of 44:56.
Managers were commended for being great role models (68%) and staff felt they could talk openly and honestly to their employees. Beating every other organisation on the list, two top scores showed that people aren't under so much pressure at work they can't concentrate (79%) and they haven't suffered work related stress in the last year (81%).
Orchid chief executive Rufus Hall, said: "People are the heartbeat of our business and we ensure their wellbeing comes first. We have a strong family atmosphere and look after our people as individuals. We make sure talents are nurtured and career goals achieved while also keeping fun high on the agenda.
"We're thrilled to be one of the first managed pub retailers to be ranked in the Top 20 and hope to build on our current platform to rank even higher up the list next year."
