Olympian support for Hotelympia 10k run

18th February 2010, 12:45pm

This year's fast approaching Hotelympia 10K race, which kicks off at London's ExCel, Docklands on Sunday February 28th, has received support from 400m hurdler Perri Shakes Drayton.

Drayton will be presenting prizes to winners of the race during the event's awards ceremony. In addition, Britain's athletics coach Chris Zah will be the guest of honour starting the race.

The race which is expected to feature up to 1,000 runners of all abilities will raise much-needed funds for hospitality charity Springboard.

Anne Pierce, chief executive of Springboard Charitable Trust, said: "We are delighted and extremely grateful to Perri and Chris for giving up their valuable time to come and support Hotelympia 10k, which is really inspiring on both counts."
