North West based restaurant operator to open feeder bar

24th June 2010, 12:42pm

Property agent Christie + Co has sold the freehold of the Bay Horse pub in Horwich, Lancashire, to Indian restaurant operator Spice Valley Restaurants, for an undisclosed sum.

The double-fronted inn features a 50-cover single open-plan lounge bar, a rear yard, a car park and three-bedroom owner's accommodation.

Spice Valley Restaurants, which is headed by Mr & Mrs Subhash Kotecha, currently operates two sites in the region under its Spice Valley brand.

The company plans to refurbish the Bay Horse and operate it as a cocktail feeder bar for their unit in Horwich.

Keith Stringer, associate director at Christie + Co, said: "This prominently-positioned business generated interest from a number of regional operators and developers. We are confident it will make a sound addition to the Spice Valley Restaurants estate."
