Bernine van Schoor is returning to Vivat Bacchus where she previously worked for four years. Schoor has since spent two years with Michelin starred chef Atul Kochhar as the restaurant manager of his Benares and Vatika restaurants.
Meanwhile the sommelier, Laura Ward, brings a wealth of wine knowledge following two years at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant as assistant head sommelier.
Gerrie Knoetze, proprietor of Vivat Bacchus, said: "Bernine and Laura are a breath of fresh air for our City clients looking to relax and enjoy our renowned South African hospitality.
"Both have worked at the highest levels in the industry, and have extensive knowledge of the food and wine that is at the heart of Vivat Bacchus."
