Laurent Warnault
Warnault has an impressive knowledge of wine, having a range of professional wine qualifications as well as spending time in French wine regions, learning the historical, technical, classification and grape varieties of wines.
He has worked for several restaurants in both the UK and France, most recently at the Mar Hall Golf & Spa in Earl of Mar Bishopton.
As chef sommelier, Warnault will be responsible for the wine cellar, housing over 600 bins, as well as carefully selecting new wines. Restaurant guests are welcome to visit the wine cellar where Warnault can offer personal advice on their wine selection and matching food with wine.
Commenting on his new appointment, Warnault said: "I am extremely excited about working with Hotel du Vin Glasgow as they are renowned for wine and having an impressive range on offer. My aim is to continue the ethos while bringing my own influence to the table."
