New Look Wimpy Outlet For Roadchef Franchise

20th May 2008, 3:28pm

Wimpy has unveiled its new look restaurant at Norton Canes, the flagship Motorway Service Area (MSA) on the M6 toll road.

This new look brings it in line with Wimpy's new global corporate identity, a result of the acquisition by the South African company Famous Brands Limited in March 2007.

These changes see the restaurants return to the famous original red and white logo, new additions to the menu and an improved dining experience.

Wimpy has also been working with Roadchef to make improvements to the speed of its customer service, through the investment of new kitchen equipment.

With large parties, such as coach groups arriving throughout the day, Wimpy now has the capacity to efficiently handle the influx of customers at peak times.

RoadChef's commercial director, Ray Savage commented: "I am pleased to be developing the Wimpy offer further in what is one of RoadChef's key locations. With the investment into new equipment, layout along with improved values, I am confident that customers will be pleased with the revised offer."

Darren Hele, managing director of Wimpy said: "We have established a strong, strategic relationship with Roadchef over the years, so it's great to be working in partnership with them at one of their flagship sites. We are hopeful of rolling this footprint out across the network in due course."

Together with its quarter pounder, the Wimpy Norton Canes menu now also offers healthier food options such as baguettes, salads, Quorn burgers and an improved chicken offering.

The brand has also upped its coffee offering with the introduction of premium blend Varese coffee.
