A new sustainable and organic events and facilities venue, located in the heart of London’s South Bank, opened its doors last week (21 May) to all businesses and organisers.

15Hatfields, which is part of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH) comprises four boardroom style meeting rooms as well as four flexible meeting spaces including a large venue area that can be divided into four individual rooms.

Each room is named in accordance with the venues sustainable philosophy including Earth, Sustain, Energy, Water and Renew.

AV facilities in each room include drop-down projection screens, built in PA systems and state-of-the-art lighting, all controlled by Crestron panels. All rooms also have natural daylight and full environmental controls.

Key features of the establishment includes the ecologically produced goat hair carpets, cushions made from recycled seat belts, coasters made from recycled tyres, and bamboo computer monitors.

15Hatfields can also provide anything from a simple working lunch to a six-course silver service meal. Eden Caters serves up fairtrade, hand-made, freshly prepared ingredients for events such as breakfast meetings, board lunches, client meetings and training sessions.

Warren Campbell, 15Hatfields client services manager, commented on the new events space: "15Hatfields is committed to reducing its impact on the environment and facilitating sustainable events. We believe what's good for the environment is good for business and that's why we've gone the extra mile to ensure our venue is not only contemporary, but is sustainable."

He added: "Companies are increasingly choosing venues that are environmentally and socially responsible. 15Hatfields provides the whole package – giving organisers the state-of-the-art facilities they expect in an innovative and sustainable venue."
