New ‘Clean Hands Up’ campaign targets catering staff

16th December 2009, 9:08am

Restaurants, cafés, pubs and food outlets being hit by seasonal ‘flu may be interested in a new hand hygiene programme being offered by international hygiene supplier Technical Concepts to support in-house personal hygiene practices and procedures.

With rates of staff absenteeism increasing daily, the new hand hygiene programme, 'Clean Hands Up', provides a trio of health, economic and environmental products and benefits, promoted under the banner of 'The Triple Crown of Wellness'.

The programme, which features two automated soap systems and a sensor-operated tap, also delivers advice and information in a range of resources and educational materials, which can be downloaded from the website.

Technical Concepts marketing manager, Joanne Snowden told us: "The 'Clean Hands Up' programme is focussed on three touch-free hand hygiene systems, the Counter-Mounted liquid soap, AutoFoam Soap and the AutoFaucet.

"These deliver the best hygiene benefits, because they avoid direct hand contact while offering the best economic benefits, with controlled dispensing and long refill life, and best environmental benefits, through reduced packaging, less chemicals in the waste stream and, in the case of the AutoFaucet, reduced water consumption."
