NEW RECRUITMENT MANAGER AT GIRAFFE

20th October 2010, 8:04am

Award-winning restaurant group Giraffe has announced the appointment of Hayley Cummings as the new Recruitment Manager.

Hayley will be responsible for overseeing staff for the global restaurant group's 37 venues around Britain and the latest addition to their portfolio, the recently opened Aberdeenshire restaurant.

A career that has hit the high notes, Hayley has successfully raised the bar working as Nando's Regional Recruitment Consultant for the past three and a half years. Using her considerable skills she managed the London region, overseeing 87 restaurants and 370 managers, and recruiting all Assistant Mangers and General Managers.

It was a stint as bar supervisor in Hong Kong in 2000 that piqued Hayley's commitment to a career in the industry and led her to train in International Hospitality Management at the University of Central Lancashire. A degree, which helped her to secure a place on the graduate management training scheme within the
restaurants and accommodation division of Scottish and Newcastle Retail.

In 2003, she accepted the position as Assistant Manager for Est Est Est where she gained hands on customer relations experience and honed her communication skills. She put her exemplary talents to work as a recruitment coordinator for Portfolio International in 2006, a role that required her to recruit, assistant and general managers across branded restaurant divisions, experience she plans to put to work in her new role.

Cummings said: "I am thrilled to have been appointed as new Recruitment Manager and am excited to be part of Giraffe as it continues to expand."

Owner and founder Russel Joffe commented, "We are utterly impressed by Hayley's background in hospitality, management and recruitment – I am delighted that she has decided to use her considerable knowledge and skills to drive Giraffe forward."
