Movember at The Cavendish

1st December 2008, 11:41am

The four-star Cavendish Hotel in London's Mayfair supported The Prostate Cancer Charity by taking part in the charity's annual 'Movember' fundraising event last month.

The General Manager, Ciaran Fahy, and the front of house male staff all grew moustaches for the month of November, collecting sponsorship and donations for their efforts.

The staff raised a massive £1,500 in total and the hotel has agreed to match this, making a total of £3,000 being donated to the charity.

Originating in Australia in 2004, Movember has raised £12 million worldwide. The money raised will go directly The Prostate Cancer Charity to help the organisation continue its hard work in research, providing support for victims and increasing awareness of the disease.
