Most popular takeaway restaurants in UK announced

Takeaway ordering site www.just-eat.co.uk has revealed its most popular takeaway restaurants in the UK.

Here are the top five independent Indian takeaway restaurants by average score given by customers who ordered online:

1.   Kashmiri Spice – M19, Manchester – 6/6
2.   Taj Mahal – WA2, Warrington – 5.5/6
3.   Cinnamon Spice – PR2, Preston – 5.5/6
4.   Indian Flavaz – M5, Manchester – 5.5/6
5.   Ameen Indian – L13, Liverpool – 5.5/6

Here are the top five independent Chinese restaurants in the UK:

1.   Dragons' Pearl – Dundee – 6/6
2.   Beijing House – E13, London – 5.5/6
3.   Shanghi Gardens – S6, Sheffield – 5.5/6
4.   Sayuri Noodle and Rice Bar – M14, Manchester – 5.5/6
5.   Rice Tonight – NE8, Newcastle – 5/6

Here are the top five independent pizza delivery restaurants in the UK:

1.   Alpha Pizza – W2, London – 5.5/6
2.   City Pizza – CF24, Cardiff – 5.5/6
3.   Italian Connection – EH10, Edinburgh – 5.5/6
4.   Sicily's – LS4, Leeds – 5/6
5.   Panda Pizza and Burgers – W3, London – 5/6

Here are the top five independent Thai delivery restaurants in the UK:

1.   Blue Star Thai – CH44, Wallesy – 6/6
2.   Thai Royal – PR1, Preston – 5.5/6
3.   How Cha Thai Takeaway – LU1, Luton – 5.5/6
4.   Delicious Thai – SE5, London – 5.5/6
5.   Rice Thai Takeaway – HG1, Harrowgate – 5.5/6

Every Just-Eat user is encouraged to review their experience online, ranking each individual restaurant by the quality of the meal, the time it took for delivery and the quality of service. There are nearly 150,000 restaurant reviews online to help customers choose the right takeaway restaurant for them.

Having ranked the top eateries by customer reviews, Just-Eat are able to announce the best takeaway restaurants to order from anywhere in the UK. Where a restaurant has gained the same score as another, they are ranked by number of reviews of the restaurant.

David Buttress, managing director of Just-Eat.co.uk, said: "Thanks to the restaurant reviews of the Just-Eat community, we're proud to be able to list the best takeaway restaurants in the UK to order food from!
