The 32 en suite bedroom hotel features a public bar, a breakfast room, a function room catering up to 70 people and a four bedroom owner's accommodation.
In addition, the property includes a former nightclub, which the current owners believe has the potential to reopen as an entertainment venue or to utilise as a restaurant.
Adam Beverley-Jones, surveyor, Knight Frank hotels team, commented on the history of the site: "The hotel was operated for the last 16 years as a lifestyle business by a gentleman who passed away last year aged 95.
"It is felt the premises, due to it rural position, offers excellent potential to be developed into a popular destination venue with the ability to host private functions or, subject to the requisite planning consents, converted or developed for an alternative use."
The hotel was developed from the Ye Olde Pig and Whistle public house and is spread across an area of 0.9 hectares (2.3 acres) land.
