Open all day every day for breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, supper and Sunday roasts, The Botanist will relax the rules of fine dining.
The eatery, which will seat up to 80 diners, is named in honour of adventuring naturalist Sir Hans Sloane, whose vast private collection of plant and animal specimens formed the core of The British Museum and The Natural History Museum.
In a room dominated by a gallery of hand painted illustrations from Sloane's Caribbean explorations, diners will be served contemporary appetizers including White Asparagus with Cepes and Fried Egg; Salad of Sauteed Sweet Breads, Crayfish and Artichoke Crisps with Sherry Dressing.
Mains will include Free-range Organic Baby Spring Chicken Breast and Confit Leg with Caramelised Shallot Tart and Foie Gras Veloute, and Glouestershire Old Spot Pork Cutlet with Baked Stuffed Apple, Black Pudding, Pommery Mustard Mash and Cider Jus.
The Botanist will also be offering a take-away service.
