Coinciding with Organic Fortnight (3-17 September), the event aims to increase awareness of the hotel's green policies amongst guests, staff and suppliers. Staff are encouraged to learn more about the hotel's environmental policies and to gather information about how they can make improvements.
The event included: a raffle; a demonstration on the hotel's beehives; the hotel's Fair Trade florist showcased the products; an electric scooter was shown in the lobby; a quiz on the hotel's policies; and staff guests were treated to Fair Trade Divine Chocolate.
The senior management team also cycled to work to promote the hotel's "Cycle to Work Scheme", which offers staff the chance to purchase bikes tax free through the hotel.
The raffle raised £500 for a local environmental project in the Westminster area.
