La Tasca targets the ‘shy man’ with new menu

30th April 2008, 3:36pm

La Tasca, the Spanish and restaurant group, is launching a new menu this week with a special section targeted at the ‘shy man’.

The average British man is usually reluctant when it comes to trying different national dishes.

To solve this, the group is serving up new additions to the menu which include Seleccion de Tapas, an eight dish tapas selection prepared by La Tasca's development chef.

The set menu includes some popular dishes such as Albondigas a la Jardinera (meatballs served in a vegetable and tomato sauce) Costillas de Cerdo (pork spare ribs) and Paella Valenciana.

In addition, four new seafood dishes are also on offer, along with two new salads – Ensalada de Vesrano, a summer salad created using fresh baby spinach, chick peas, pimento peppers and tomato and Ensalada de pollo Ahumado y Naranja, smoked chicken breast served on a bed of rocket, cherry tomatoes and herbs.

And for the gluten-allergic, the restaurant group is offering 30 different dishes that are gluten free, as well as 17 different garlic-free dishes.

Nicola Stuart, La Tasca's marketing manager, commented: "This new menu has broadened our food offering so there's something for everyone from the seasoned Spanish food connoisseur to culinary novice."
