La Tasca rewards managers achieving high sales growth

17th December 2009, 8:04am

La Tasca, the UK’s largest Spanish tapas restaurant and bar group has rewarded 20 of its general managers with three-day wine tasting visits to Spain.

The winning managers were the top performers across two categories in an incentive programme – biggest percentage sales growth year on year and largest growth in database numbers.

The initiative, which was launched across the La Tasca business back in July this year ran for three months over the summer.

Supported with a through the line campaign, promoting the 50% off message across various media platforms and real energy and focus on driving sales and building the database, the La Tasca operators really got behind the campaign.

The concept proved so successful that parent company Bay Restaurant Group plan to run similar schemes in 2010.

During the three month period the overall La Tasca database grew to a staggering 450,000, whilst the top performers in sales delivered year-on-year sales increases of up to 25%.

Peter Murdock, La Tasca's managing director said, "Incentivising the managers with a trip to one of the world's greatest vineyards created a real buzz in the business. Everyone put tremendous effort in to making the figures over the summer really soar. The winning managers certainly deserved the reward for all their hard work."
