Kids eat half price healthy meals at Imli

24th June 2008, 4:27pm

Imli Indian restaurant on London’s Wardour Street is offering half price lunches for children on weekends.

This promotion means that for each adult ordering a regular lunch between noon and 6pm on Saturday's and Sunday's, one child can eat from the special kids' menu for half price.

Tapas style sharing dishes will be on offer as well as complimentary birthday cakes for kid's parties of 10 or more.

The 'Indian tapas' concept means that diners should order around three dishes from each section – Light and Refreshing, new Traditions and Signature Dish sections, which is equivalent to a two-course meal.

Dishes on the menu include Whole Wheat Crisps and Bean Sprouts with Vermicelli, Sweet Yoghurt and Mint Chutney, Batter-Fried Tilapia Fish with Paprika and Curry Leaf, served with Mint Chutney, and Chicken Cooked in Smoked Tomato and Cashew Nut Sauce served with Rice.

Desserts feature Home Made Chocolate and Orange Zest Ice Cream and Home Made Mango and Basil Sorbet.

Samir Sadekar, executive chef at the eatery, commented on the deal: "In India the food culture is not about stuffy fine dining for adults on their own. It's all about sharing delicious food with your family. I…believe everything tastes better when shared with the people you love most.

"This is the warm and friendly ethos of Imli – we actively encourage children to eat healthy food and we create all our menus by using fresh healthy ingredients. At Imli you can enjoy our superlative modern Indian cuisine."

Imli is open for all day dining from Monday to Sunday 12.00am to 11.00pm.

Those interested in the offer must call 020 7287 4243 or log onto www.imli.co.uk quoting 'kids offer' under the special requests section.
