Italian restaurant scheme offers parents a break – while their kids get on with the cooking

The Glasgow-based Italian restaurant Paperino's is offering parents the chance to rest and relax for a few hours while their children learn the art of pizza-making in a series of activities they are running for six to twelve year olds this summer.

The Pizza Playtime Summer Sunday Series, which will run every Sunday throughout August from 11.30am until 4.30pm, will give parents the opportunity to enjoy a complimentary glass of wine while their children get to grips with creating their own pizzas using their own choice of toppings.

Managing director of Paperino's Mark Billington said: "Our Pizza Playtime Summer Sunday Series gives kids an introductory lesson in cooking, so it's educational as well. And given that all kids – whether aged six or 66 – love pizza, they can take their new skills home with them to help out in their own kitchen."
