The hotel, which underwent a £76 million transformation in 2006, was placed in fourth overall position by the Condé Nast Traveller's Readers' Travel Awards as their favourite venue for doing business in the UK.
It features 60 designer suites including four signature suites, a chic urban spa, the interactive Cookbook Cafe and award-winning restaurant Theo Randall at The InterContinental.
General manager Alvaro Rey commented: "It really means something to us to be regarded as a top five hotel in a Condé Nast Traveller award and I want to thank all the readers who voted for us, however, we have set our sights on doing even better next year. We occupy one of the City's most prestigious addresses, Number One Park Lane, and we are the global flagship for InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, part of the world's largest hotel group, IHG.
"We are setting a precedent across London for hotels by building on excellent quality and service to deliver authentic and enriching London experiences to our guests."
