The Old Colonial in Compton Acres and the Sherwin Arms in Bramcote, both owned by Spirit Pub Company, closed on Monday 23rd January as they undergo transformations into Flaming Grill pubs.
A recruitment day was held at the Sherwin Arms on Thursday 18th January to create new teams for both pubs in time for their re-launch on Sunday 5th February.
Chris Blackamore, general manager of the Sherwin Arms, said: "We had an overwhelming response to our recruitment day and the calibre of applicants has been extremely high. We've now the filled roles on the bar and in the kitchen for both pubs and have planned seven days of intense training before we open to ensure team members live and breathe the values of the Flaming Grill brand.
Simon Milner, new general manager of Old Colonial, added: "We want the pubs to be known not only for the incredible food offering and service but also for being a traditional local pub at their heart. Both the Old Colonial and Sherwin Arms have a great entertainment package planned following the official opening with quiz nights, karaoke and all the big sports on our new HD TVs."
