How to benefit from My Tuxedo’s new offering

11th August 2011, 11:25am

Bars, restaurants and hotels have started to show a huge interest in My Tuxedo.co.uk’s new corporate account offering. We take a look at how businesses can benefit from the concept.

The online retailer has been trading for the past eight years directly to consumers, offering formalwear products including tuxedos, waistcoats, wedding wear, suits, accessories and men's gifts through its online store. However, MyTuxedo has started to receive a vast amount of interest from businesses, such as hotels and restaurants, and groups, including theatres and choirs, requesting bulk orders for the products.

Many of these companies are returning regularly and MyTuxedo wants to ensure these clients find it easy to re-order, as well as receive a good discount to support the large orders that are being made time and time again.

To support the new business offering, My Tuxedo has introduced a new web page and log-in system to allow bulk orders to be made online; whereas previously large orders needed to be made over the phone. The online retailer can also offer anything from wholesale prices on the goods it currently produces, to full-scale production for bespoke items.

Tim Grimaldi, director at MyTuxedo commented: "We've seen a vast amount of interest from businesses in the leisure industry such as bars and restaurants wanting to order uniforms for staff due to our very competitive prices. MyTuxedo wanted to do something to support these clients to make the purchasing process much easier. With bulk orders, we like to give something back to customers by giving a discount.

"This will now be much easier for them to receive, as once My Tuxedo Corporate accounts are set up, customers can simply log in, order the items and the discount will automatically get deducted at the checkout.

"We hope our current corporate clients will like the new system and also hope it will make more companies aware of the service and discounts that are available to them."

Grimaldi tells Eat Out magazine more about the offering.

How has business been going so far?

Very well! Since the corporate web page went live, My Tuxedo has already seen a 100% uplift in sales through the online corporate account system! The new account system allows customers to place orders with pre-set discounts applied to their account. Not only does this reduce the cost to them, but also makes their shopping experience faster and more efficient.

Which restaurants, bars and hotels have shown an interest?

To name a few companies that have shown interest so far: Best Western, Coca Cola, Hot Sausage Company.

What is so unique about the offering?

My Tuxedo can offer a huge range of formalwear at unbeatable prices and deliver within 24 hours. This helps customers to respond faster to the clothing needs of their business and at a lower cost. Most companies that provide uniforms to organisations do so through a catalogue system that can take a lot of time. The online system is quick and easy to use, therefore this is a huge plus point to businesses that are pressed for time.

How can businesses really benefit from this?

My Tuxedo offer significant discounts for higher volume orders. Combined with the vast range and 24 hour delivery, My Tuxedo can provide businesses with their staff uniform needs rapidly and at unbeatable prices.

Are you looking to branch out to other sectors?

Yes My Tuxedo is also working with wholesale customers (especially clothes shops and hire companies who are reselling our brands), travel operators and cruise liners and production companies. Due to My Tuxedo's low prices and next-day-delivery, manufacturing time is removed therefore we can respond to the needs of our customers rapidly. My Tuxedo is also looking to expand the new corporate arm of the business in the coming months as well as increasing the brands presence in the rest of Europe.
