How hoteliers can survive the market

10th November 2008, 10:46am

PKF Accountants & business advisers is hosting a free 'Surviving the market' seminar this month to help guide those in the hotel sector through the current economic climate.

The seminar, which is also aimed at those in the real estate and construction industries, will be held at PKF's London office in Farringdon on Tuesday 18 November 2008 at 5.30pm, where PKF experts will offer advice on the tax and financing strategies companies in the sector.

Speaking at the seminar will be two members of PKF's real estate group: tax director Marios Gregori and corporate finance director Laura Hampson. Gregori will focus on effective tax strategies that companies can utilise, while Hampson will look at forward planning in tougher times. Martin Smith of Finers Stephens Innocent LLP will speak on effective property management from a legal perspective.

Gregori said: "A year into the credit crunch and we are yet to see the bottom of the market. With falling values and a more strategic approach to bank lending and investments taking place, the sector and its players still have a way to go before seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

"There remain, however, a number of opportunities in the market and this seminar is intended to both explore these, and provide a guide for survival."

Those looking to attend can contact Claudia Belsman on: 020 7065 0039 or email claudia.belsman@uk.pkf.com.
