27th May 2010, 11:38am

Hotel chain Travelodge will be recruiting for 185 jobs this summer with the launch of seven new hotels across the UK.

These openings include the company's 400th hotel opening at Waterloo. The other locations are; Edinburgh, Chester, Dundee, Northampton, Horsham and Newcastle under Lyme.

The hotel group, which has over 390 hotels and 5,500 staff, is currently looking for; receptionists, night receptionists, guest room cleaners, housekeepers and bar cafe staff.

Travelodge recruits all of its entry level staff for new hotels in partnership with the Job Centre Plus scheme - a programme that focuses on getting the local long-term unemployed back in to work.

Debbie Husband, Travelodge regional operations director, said: "Travelodge is the UK's fastest growing hotel chain and we are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and committed individuals to join our team. Our latest seven hotel openings offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking for a career in hospitality.

"At Travelodge we believe in developing our people and offer an in-house training and career advancement programme, so that we can create more managers internally."
