Hotel chain Travelodge has appointed Adam Parsons as director of communications.

Parsons joins Travelodge from The British Olympic Association (BOA) where he held the position of director of sport liaison, a role that saw him advising and promoting British athletes and national governing bodies. He previously served as the BOA's director of communications and public affairs.

Parsons will join the Travelodge team on the 28th June and will sit on the executive team. He will report directly to Guy Parsons, Travelodge's newly appointed chief executive officer.

He commented on his new role: "I am very excited to be joining the UK's fastest growing hotel chain and to be given the opportunity to lead one of the UK's most renowned and innovative communications team. This is an exciting time in my career and I am looking forward to helping to expand Travelodge's profile, reputation and influence."
