Following an initial launch in 2005, founder and entrepreneur Vincent McKevitt partnered with Honey who undertook a complete brand overhaul, with an aim to establish and build the venture into a mass-market foodservice, positioned at the forefront of the healthy, fast-casual eating sector.
McKevitt said: "Honeys commercial and creative approach to building the Tossed brand has enabled the business to punch above its weight delivering exceptional growth and return on investment. The design has paid for itself 100 times over!"
The revamp included strategic brand review, creating a new brand/logo, all customer communications and interiors for the salad-bar restaurants.
To get the sense of fun and healthy messages across, Honey has produced quirky interiors with vibrant communication, such as the silhouettes of fresh ingredients resembling rolling hills to entice customers away from their busy, hectic lives.
Doug James, managing director of Honey, added: "This award for our work with Tossed is one of four awards for different clients that we picked up last night at the ceremony. And even better, it adds to our very first design effectiveness award presented to us last year. It clearly demonstrates our ability to consistently produce commercially successful designs for all of our clients and provide impressive returns on their investment."
The 2009 DBA Design Effectiveness Awards ceremony took place at The Mermaid Theatre, London.
