The new role will become effective as of 8th June 2009. Henrik will also be responsible for the further development of the Althoff Hotel Collection in the UK.
Henrik is joining St James's Hotel and Club after seven years in his current role as general manager at The Capital Hotel and The Levin Hotel, both based in Knightsbridge.
Henrik is also currently assistant managing director of The Capital Group, which in addition to the two hotel properties, includes The London Bakery, 195 Piccadilly and Levin Wines.
St James's Hotel and Club reopened in the summer of 2008 following a multi million pound investment in an extensive 18 month redesign and renovation programme.
Henrik said: "I am delighted to join St James's and Althoff, especially at such a key moment for the hotel. I hope that my experience working with a two-star Michelin chef for the past seven years will enable me to successfully guide St James's Hotel and Club towards achieving its first Michelin star."
Thomas H. Althoff, founder and owner of the Althoff Hotel Collection, added: "Henrik brings with him a wealth of commercial and operational experience in the luxury hotel market and we are very much looking forward to working with him."
