Heliport Solution Hotel appoints marketing manager

2nd July 2010, 10:16am

A new marketing manager has been appointed for Hotel Verta, the new venture from Von Essen that promises to be 'the first integrated hotel Heliport solution in Europe'.

Sally Strang brings more than 25 years' experience to the position. Her previous roles include marketing and sales for Westin, Marriott Hotels and Resorts and Thistle Hotels.

Strang will be taking responsibility for all marketing and communications-related activity and will support director of sales, Douglas Acton, in launching and positioning Hotel Verta to become 'London's premier destination of choice for the discerning business traveller, visitors and locals alike'.

The hotel opens its doors on 12 October and will be the first London-based property and the third hotel in the group's Metropolitan Set, which also includes the Forbury Hotel in Reading and the Seaham Hall in County Durham.

General manager of Hotel Verta Andrew Thomason said: "We are delighted to have Sally on board, her experience in the hospitality sector will be critical in launching Hotel Verta to become a destination hotel as well as one of London's leading establishments."
