Hamburger restaurant group BYRON supports Movember charity

6th September 2010, 12:44pm

Hamburger restaurant group BYRON is teaming up with the charity Movember, an annual moustache-growing charity event, to raise awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate cancer.

Last year more than 45,000 Mo Bros (slang for men growing moustaches) took part across the UK, from lawyers and doctors to fire fighters, teachers, sports teams, bars and media to local butchers – raising £5 million in just one month.

To coincide with the campaign, BYRON will create a special Movember hamburger, the details of which is yet to be revealed, and a donation of £0.50 will be made to The Prostate Cancer Charity from every Movember hamburger sold. The hamburger will be available in all of BYRON's restaurants across London.

In addition, during Movember all registered Mo Bros who sport a mo and raise £25 will be entitled to a free BYRON hamburger, every day, Monday to Friday at any BYRON restaurant between 3 and 7pm.

Male members of the restaurants' staff will also be growing their own mos to help raise awareness of the partnership.
