The 6oz premium quality patties will be available in packs of two or four from the chilled section in over 60 Waitrose supermarkets, priced at £4.49 and £6.99 per pack. Ocado will also be trialling the gbk patties in the coming weeks.
The patties are exactly the same great quality burgers that are served in gbk's 52 nationwide restaurants.
Last year, independent research revealed the total supermarket value for frozen and chilled burgers to be in excess of £200m per year.
GBK managing director David Sykes, commented: "We're enormously excited to be introducing this new retail aspect to the gbk business. It is a key growth area and one that will extend the gbk brand well beyond our current restaurant sites."
