London Mayor, Boris Johnson
Selected pubs will be serving either Fuller's London Porter or 1845 during Cask Ale Week for customers to familiarise themselves with two of the brewers' more premium brands.
The multi-award winning London Porter has its origins in the early nineteenth century, when three different brews would be combined to produce a pint. The brewing team at Fuller's has updated the process but retained the same depth of flavour.
1845 was developed especially to commemorate the 150th anniversary of the Fuller, Smith and Turner partnership in 1995. Fifteen years later, 1845 is popular the world over and features rich, fruity characteristics teamed with full, well-rounded malt flavours.
John Roberts, managing director of The Fuller's Beer Company, said: "National Cask Ale Week is a brilliant initiative to promote awareness of Britain's National Drink and attract new drinkers. The cask ale market is in good health at the moment and Fuller's is extremely proud to be at the forefront of this.
"The exciting offer of London Porter and 1845 available as cask ales exclusively in Fuller's pubs for one week only is something we are certain our customers will be very excited about, whether they are new to cask ale or if they are well-versed in the Fuller's range."
