Fuller's partner with McCain to launch ridge cut chip

16th April 2008, 11:01am

McCain Foods and Fuller's Brewery have joined forces to launch the McCain London Pride Brewer's Ridge – a versatile chip which is being rolled out in Fuller's pubs across the nation.

The new chips are made with 100% British potatoes, ridge cut for crispiness and coated in the London Pride beer batter.

They are best served as a side with a main meal, as a snack with a dip, or part of a sharing platter.

Adrian Greaves, associate director McCain Foodservice, explained: "Pubs need to differentiate their offering and we are delighted to partner with Fuller's to create this exciting bespoke product. Chips are an integral part of the pub dining experience and this is a great example how pubs can stand out from the crowd."

John Keeling, Fuller's head brewer, added: "We've been highlighting how well beer goes with food for a few years now, and have even added our beers as ingredients to some of the menu items in our pubs before."

All McCain foodservice chips are simply washed, peeled, cut and prepared in sunflower oil and enhances menu provenance with the added reassurance of full traceability.
