The session will be held at Westminster Kingsway College on Friday 28th October 2011.
The 'Understanding Ibérico ham and how to carve it' seminar will explore the culture of Ibérico ham, its characteristics and techniques for carving it. It will also feature a carving demonstration by Chuse Valero of Ibérico specialists Tozino, and guests will have the opportunity to meet Spanish producers and taste their hams.
The highlight of the day will be a carving competition, where guests will put what they have learnt into practice and prizes will be awarded to the best carvers.
María José Sevilla, director of Foods from Spain said: "Spanish cuisine is becoming more popular in the UK, and Ibérico ham is one of our best-loved foods. Spain is very proud of its speciality ham, and this event is a way of encouraging people to use and enjoy this delicious product and meet some of the top producers."
For those looking to attend must register at www.understandingibericoham.co.uk .
This is a free seminar and lunch is included. There are 50 spaces available and these will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
