First City Ping Pong to launch

8th July 2008, 3:40pm

Dim Sum restaurant group Ping Pong is opening its first City branch in Bow Bells, London on 1 September.

The tenth Ping Pong eatery, situated in Bow Bells House on Bread Street, is spread across a 5,500 sq ft venue and will be serving a total of 204 covers.

Varied seating will include dining tables, high and low stools, benches, and a lounge area, where diners will be served up a selection of light lunches, afternoon tea, cocktails and evening dinners. Average spend will range from £15-£20 per person.

A selection of drinks including flowering teas and a range of over 40 hand-made dim sum dishes will also be on offer.

Jean-Michel Orieux, managing director of Ping Pong, commented on the new addition: "I believe this new restaurant will be a welcome destination for City workers, especially with concerns rising over the credit crunch."

Interior designer is Andrew Bridge of Cotton Thompson Cole.

The chain has also recently launched restaurants in Hampstead and St Katherine Docks this year.
