

They have taken over the freehouse through licensed property agents Bettesworths off an asking price of £750,000. Turnover for year ending April 2007 was £360,000 ex VAT.
This is a new venture for the Corkhill family, but they are determined to ensure the village inn remains a focal point of the community. They plan to continue the successful recipe of their predecessors Martin and Tina Uren who retired after eight years at the helm.
The family will be offering good food, locally brewed real ales and a selection of fine wines and looking forward to a busy summer when there is an influx of tourists to the area.
The Royal Oak has three character bars, a restaurant seating 40, substantial lawned trade garden, extensive car park and four letting rooms. It is close to Bigbury Golf Club and the locally famous Burgh Island.
