Envirowise invites businesses to join them at Green Leaves Hotel

A new web-based 'eco-street' has been launched by sustainability experts Envirowise to help hoteliers identify cost saving opportunities.

The Envirowise Virtual Tour, known as Green Street, has been created using advanced web technology and allows users to explore an animated world via their computer and is complete with a virtual hotel.

Business owners are invited to join Envirowise at the Green Leaves Hotel by visiting www.envirowise.gov.uk/greenstreet. The tool has been designed to be as user-friendly as possible, offering simple but effective advice to help businesses implement practical environmental measures.

Matthew Rowland-Jones, hospitality specialist at Envirowise, said: "Green Street users have the freedom to explore all areas of the Green Leaves Hotel including guest room and bathroom, kitchen and bar - gaining valuable resource efficiency tips along the way.

"We know the internet is an integral part of the business working so we have created this new animated tool in order to make this free advice as accessible as possible."
