Dine for free at West End restaurants

11th September 2009, 11:52am

To celebrate the London Restaurant Festival, which is kicking off next month, one lucky visitor to the event will be given the chance to enjoy the best of West End dining for 12 months absolutely free.

The prize will entitle the winner to a meal for two at a different restaurant each month for a year.

There are 17 Michelin-starred restaurants within the West End as a whole and Covent Garden is home to some of the oldest operations including Rules (on Maiden Lane, established in 1798), specialising in game, oysters and pies, and Mon Plasir (in Monmouth Street), the oldest French brasserie is London.

Other top restaurants include the "Mexican market eating" Wahaca on Chandos Place, The Ivy and J. Sheekey, and  L'Atelier de Joel Robuchon.

To enter the prize, members of the public should visit www.westendlondon.com where the prize can be theirs after 1st October.
