Soft drink ‘diet Coke’ is set receive an extra boost with the launch of new ‘diet Coke Plus’

Coca-Cola Great Britain today confirmed that it will be introducing later this Autumn a new addition to its 'diet Coke' brand – new 'diet Coke Plus'. This is the first time that the soft drinks company has added functional benefits to one of its sparkling beverages in the UK.

Already launched in the US, 'diet Coke Plus' is an extension of the no sugar soft drink with the addition of functional benefits including vitamins and antioxidants.

'diet Coke Plus' will have all the taste and refreshment of 'diet Coke', but with the added benefit of vitamins and antioxidants to give a little extra goodness and help consumers keep up with today's hectic lifestyle.

Marketing Director for Coca-Cola Great Britain, Cathryn Sleight said: "We all want to keep healthy, but it's not always easy with today's busy lifestyle. 'diet Coke' Plus offers two great ways to enjoy your favourite 'diet Coke' break while getting a little bit extra to see you through the day - for women who already love the taste of 'diet Coke', 'diet Coke Plus' gives you even more reasons to enjoy."

'diet Coke Plus' will be available nationwide from October 2007.
