Davis Coffer Lyons sells So Bar Richmond

Manhattan style cocktail bar So Bar has sold its Richmond outlet to private operator Manuel Pogany who plans to continue running it as a bar.

The bar occupies a three storey property in the middle of the parade on famous Brewers Lane, a cobbled side street off George Street in the heart of Richmond's main eating and drinking out circuit.

It opened as So Bar in 2004 and has since developed a reputation as a quality Manhattan style bar.

Davis Coffer Lyon's (DCL) director of Pubs Paul Tallentyre, who handled the disposal, said: "Richmond is well known for its quality retail outlets and many bars and restaurants and is popular with River Thames visitors all year round offering a great opportunity for the incoming operator to continue to develop the business further."

DCL is also marketing So Bar's remaining outlet in Fulham as the owner plans to focus on other ventures.
