The hotel offers accommodation arranged over five floors with three passenger lifts, plus three self-contained, two-bedroom apartments across the top floor. The business also features extensive public areas with bars, restaurants, lounges, conference rooms, a games room and a treatment suite.
The Norwich-based UK Holiday Group is one of Britain's largest domestic travel companies, catering for more than 100,000 holidaymakers a year. The company, which trades as Grand UK Hotels, Grand UK Holidays, Sunrise Holidays and Just for Groups, currently owns nine hotels spread across the UK, with the Dauncey's set to become its 10th.
UK Holiday Group Managing Director Paul Bennett said that the company was delighted with its purchase and was looking forward to catering for the many regular customers, as well as new customers, at this long-established and well-renowned hotel.
Jonathan Hill, Director at Christie + Co, commented: "Grand UK Hotels and its associated holiday brands will bring substantial business to the hotel and the entire resort. We wish them every success in this new venture."
