DCL secures second site for owners of Texture restaurant

10th May 2010, 10:42am

Chef and sommelier duo Agnar Sverrisson and Xavier Rousset, co-proprietors of the Michelin-starred Texture in London, are to open a second venture in the capital.

The pair, who opened Texture on Portman Square in 2007, will launch a more casual, wine-focused sister restaurant in the City of London at the beginning of June.

Leisure property specialist Davis Coffer Lyons (DCL) acquired the former Wine Press restaurant on Fetter Lane, EC1.

Texture has a modern European style and focuses on combining and emphasising different consistencies and textures in the dishes.

The new sister restaurant, which will be called 28-50, will offer a classic French menu overseen by Sverrisson, with an extensive wine list developed by Rousset.
