DCL acquires Hertfordshire restaurant for Italian operator

22nd March 2010, 9:26am

Independent Italian restaurant operator ZAZA is to open its third site in the south-east with views to expand further.

The Hertfordshire-based operator has acquired the former Jimmy'z on 27 High Street, Bushey, through leisure property agent Davis Coffer Lyons.

Run by Terry Greenhill and Ferdi Pacelli, ZAZA specialises in full flavour Italian food, including freshly made pasta, stone oven-baked pizza, grills, and fresh fish, and currently trades from two grade II listed buildings in Rickmansworth and Ruislip.

The operator has taken a new 30-year lease from landlord Wellington Pub Company at a £36,250 rent. The new site, located close to the town church, has been restored to retain its village feel and will have outdoor seating for up to 90 diners.

Greenhill and Pacelli also operate sister brand Sazio, a fine dining Italian concept with five sites in Harpenden, St. Albans, Pinner, Hatch End, and Harrow.
