Cutting Risks in the Cellar

The new analyser, the 'Aspida' - from the Greek word for 'shield' - can detect high CO2 levels and low O2 levels, and is designed to minimise risks for staff who are working in potentially dangerous environments such as pub cellars.

The unique 'man down' alarm is activated if the unit detects no movement. If the wearer does not respond to an initial alert, it sounds a 110 decibel alarm.

Other features of the new Aspida are visual, audible and vibrating alarms and a prominent screen while the unit can clip on the user's belt, and is designed to move with the body, making it more comfortable.

As well as unit analysing O2 and CO2, the Aspida is available in a single gas variant. All data from the unit, can be registered to two people to maximise use, and can be easily downloaded.
