Crowne Plaza Kensington hotel appoints new food and drink manager

5th February 2010, 8:40am

The Crowne Plaza Kensington in London has appointed Gavin Boyer as the new food & drink manager.

Boyer has previously worked as restaurant manager at an international boutique restaurant in Brisbane, before moving onto the Malmaison Hotel Oxford as supervisor and duty manager, and then launching the flagship Jamie's Italian as restaurant manager.

His new responsibilities will include overseeing the food and drink operations for the entire hotel, building and maximising sales opportunities through StreetSide restaurant, Traffic cocktail lounge bar, room service and the hotel's five event spaces. Boyer will also train and develop staff to achieve excellence in service and innovation.

He commented on his new position: "I am thrilled to be part of Crowne Plaza Kensington. As a relatively newly refurbished property, there is a fantastic opportunity to create some real excitement about the hotel's restaurant and bar facilities. I look forward to working with the team to make Crowne Plaza Kensington the must-stay hotel for the South West."
