Covent Garden’s Bok Bar up for grabs

30th March 2010, 9:42am

Property agent Christie + Co is marketing the leasehold interest of the Bok Bar in London’s Covent Garden, with offers in the region of £75,000 sought.

Located on Bedford Street, the 2,500sq ft business comprises a ground floor entrance area plus retail specialist shop, and a basement bar split into three sections — a 30-cover main bar, plus two further areas with fixed and loose seating for 60.

The business was placed into administration in February 2010 as part of Bar Group Ltd, which operated various venues across the South East.

Currently operated with a "South African" theme, the bar is a popular venue for sports events throughout the year.

Katie Wallace from Christie + Co's London Bars and Restaurants team, said: "Located in a busy Central London area and a popular destination for tourists, we expect the Bok Bar to generate a significant amount of interest from established operators and local entrepreneurs."
