Grundy joins the management team following a successful career as depot manager with food wholesaler/distributor 3663 and formerly with TDG.
Convert2Green collects and recycles waste vegetable oil from across the food industry to produce a range of quality bio-fuels for use in commercial vehicle fleets and to drive heat and power systems.
Taking up the Cheshire based post, Grundy said: "My job entails overseeing the oil collection, production and distribution side of the business. We work in partnership with key clients in the food and hospitality industry, including 3663, Robinsons Family Brewers, Cygnet Foods and local authorities, to reduce carbon emissions and cut costs. The company continues to grow at a pace as more and more companies recognise the value of what we offer.
"My most immediate challenge is to ensure that the operation steps up to meet the rapidly increasing demand for our sustainable bio-fuel. This means more staff, increasing the size of the fleet and looking to commission a second plant."
