The hotel was sold to a private, Manchester-based property investor, for an undisclosed sum.
The 59-bedroom hotel, which was formerly operated by the Real Hotel Company, is located in Hull city centre near the main line train station and features two function rooms with capacity for 140, the Strudles restaurant, a bar, and car parking.
The new owner plans to refurbish the hotel, which is currently closed, and re-open the business in the New Year.
The disposal of the ex-Real Hotel Company site, follows the sale of the former 73-bedroom Stop Inn Southcrest Hotel in Redditch, Worcestershire, for an undisclosed sum, through Christie + Co at the end of August.
The 55-bedroom former Stop Inn Skelmersdale in Lancashire, which is also on the market with Christie + Co, is currently under offer, with a sale expected before the end of the year.
Sebastian Meredith, Associate Director at Christie + Co, said: "The hotel generated a lot of interest while on the market and a number of offers were received. This central-located property offers the perfect opportunity for rebranding and repositioning."
