Christie + Co sells Somerset pub on behalf of Webb Enterprises

13th January 2010, 12:22pm

Acting on behalf of Webb Enterprises, a local family-run pub company, Christie + Co has sold the leasehold interest of the Allerford inn near Taunton, Somerset, to first-time buyers Fiona Scott and John Scargill.

The Allerford, formerly known as the Victory, undertook a comprehensive refurbishment in late 2007. It now provides over 200 covers and has been well known for its food offering since the re-launch, something the new purchasers are keen to retain.

Webb Enterprises currently operates five pubs across the South West.

Jon Clyne from Christie + Co's Exeter Office, said: "The Allerford Inn is well known by many in the area as a destination food house. Fiona & John intend to implement a revised menu, keeping the popular dishes while adding a few of their own based on locally sourced fresh produce. They also plan to build upon the solid foundations laid down by Webb Enterprises and we wish them the best of luck."

Christie + Co sold the property off an asking price of £70,000.
