Christie + Co markets popular restaurant for Costley & Costley

Acting on behalf of Costley & Costley Hoteliers Limited, the Ayrshire based hotel and restaurant operator, Christie + Co has been instructed to sell the freehold interest of the Cochrane Inn near Kilmarnock, with offers in excess of £850,000 sought.

Situated in the village of Gatehead, the locally renowned 60-cover restaurant has been owned by Costley & Costley Hoteliers Ltd for the past 10 years and, over that time, has established itself as one of the finest food-led businesses in Ayrshire.

The property itself occupies the ground floor of a traditional stone-built coaching inn with an owner's/manager's two-bedroom flat on the first floor. Further benefits include landscaped gardens to the front and a private car park to the rear.

Costley & Costley Hoteliers Ltd currently operates six hotels spread throughout Ayrshire including Lochgreen House, which was voted by the AA as Scotland's Hotel of the Year in 2004, plus two further restaurants — the Alloway Inn and the Souter Johnnie's Inn.
