Christie + Co markets former Moorgate Taverns estate

6th September 2010, 12:45pm

Acting on behalf of Administrator Moorfields Corporate Recovery LLP, Christie + Co is marketing the former Moorgate Taverns estate, which comprises 10 freehold pubs located across central and southern England.

The sites, which range in price from £250,000 to £550,000, are a mixture of vacant and tenanted pubs and are available individually or in small groups.

The majority of the pubs are based in Hertfordshire and include Mokoko in St Albans, the Old Guinea in Potters Bar and the Plough in Berkhamsted.

Formed in 2007, Moorgate Taverns, which was a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pubs 'n' Bars, was placed in administration in September 2009.

Anthony Jenkins, associate director at Christie + Co, said: "The majority of these sites benefit from being centrally located in affluent and attractive towns and villages. Therefore we expect them to generate interest from a wide range of buyers including experienced operators, investors and first-time entrants. The size and location of some of these sites will also appeal to developers."
