He started the year by selling the Carholme Inn in Lincoln on behalf of national pub operator Admiral Taverns, and just before Christmas, Ben brought up his 52nd completed deal over the last 12 months by selling the Ram Inn in Lincoln, on behalf of Punch Taverns, the largest pub company in the UK.
During the year, Ben has sold properties in the region to pubco's, local brewers, local entrepreneurs and first-time buyers, proving that despite reports and the current challenging environment there is still significant interest in running a public house.
Standout transactions included the sale of four pubs to regional operator Bespoke Inns, and the acquisition of the Exeter Arms in Easton-on-the-Hill to Lincolnshire pub operator Michael Thurlby.
Ben said: "It has been an amazing year, especially considering the testing conditions the pub market experienced during 2009, and continues to experience. However, these sales have proved that people's desire to be part of the pub industry remains strong. I am glad that I have been able to use my sector knowledge to assist so many companies and individuals achieve successful deals and look forward to continuing to help further clients over the coming year."
